Create New Projects

New Project

New projects can be created in several ways:

  1. File Menu > New
  2. Click the New button in the Welcome Window.
  3. Click the New sign in the project window toolbar.

The result will depend upon whether Tabs are turned on or off in Actio Preferences.


Create a New Project in a new tab

First ensure Tabs are turned on in Actio Preferences.
Then select the window in which you want to create a new project and select either:

  1. File Menu > New
  2. Click the New sign in the project window toolbar.

If tabs are turned off in Actio Preferences. , then all projects will be displayed in separate windows.
If tabs are turned on then create a new window by selecting the Welcome window and select either:

  1. File Menu > New
  2. Click the New button New.

Next Steps.

After requesting a New Project, Actio will prompt you for the following information:

  1. Enter the name of the Project in the field highlighted at the top of the project window.
  2. Select a location for the Project in the SaveAs dialogue. You may change the name of the project here if you wish. If at this stage you do not want to save the project, you can cancel the SaveAs dialogue and continue to enter actions. Actio will prompt you to save it again later so that you don't lose your work.
  3. Actio will add one new action, and place the cursor in the title field, ready for you to enter the first action.
