Actio Help

Navigation

Navigation in Actio is similar to navigation in Apple’s Finder. You can scroll through actions, open and close folders to see their contents, jump into folders and move back up the hierarchy.

Scrolling

Select any action in the list with the mouse and use the up/down arrow keys to move through the list. If in the Detail View then the contents of that action will be shown on the right of the window.

If you have a long list then you can scroll using the scroll bar or two-finger scrolling on your mouse or track-pad.

Expanding and Collapsing Folders

You can expand or collapse any folder by clicking on its disclosure triangle. Expanded: Collapsed:

If one or more folders are selected in the list then you can use:

This will expand or collapse all the selected folders.

Holding down the Option key in conjunction with any of the above will expand or collapse all the folders contained within the top folder. Take care here with large projects as this can take a lot of time and space - a better technique for large projects would be to use drill-down described below.

Drill-Down and Up

You can drill down into a folder using the following:

You can move back up the folder hierarchy using the following:

You can move back to the top of the hierarchy using the following:

Opening Action Windows

You can open a new window for editing individual Actions or Folders by Option+double clicking the action in the list. The new window give you typographical control over the formatting of the text. You can also scroll through other Actions at the same level in the hierarchy.

This view is described further here.

You can close the Action window and move back to its position in the current list view by clicking the Show in Browser button at the top of the screen.
