Parts Bar

Parts Bar

The parts bar is only available in the Page View. It allows different parts of the action to be displayed in a printable WYSIWYG view.

Functions

The table describes the functions of each of the buttons in the parts bar.

Detail

Shows the text in the detail field. It can be edited in this view, just like in the Detail View.

Note: If no detail is present then this field will not be visible. To enter data here, click the action’s Title to make it editable, then press return and immediately enter text for the Detail field. This text will become visible as you type.

Status This adds a short description of the status of the action e.g. what the next due date is and whether there are any repeats included.This description is not editable.
RAGs This adds a short description of the current RAG status (e.g. Due, Overdue) and the number of days the action will be in each of the RAG Day intervals. This description is not editable.
Notes Adds the notes associated with each action in reverse chronological order (i.e. the most recent note at the top of the list). You can edit these notes just like in the Detail View, or double click them to give typographical control.
Note Count If the actions have a lot of notes, you can limit the number notes displayed in each action to between 1 and 5 by choosing an amount from the drop down menu.
Titles

Shows titles of each of the parts.

Pages Selecting this will show the page boundaries for the printed version of the project. You can use Page SetUp to change the size, orientation and scale of the page.
Orphans If you have long descriptions or a lot of notes in each action, clicking this will allow the action to be spread over the page boundary. Otherwise actions will keep all their content together on one page.
