Undo & Redo

Actio supports multiple level Undos and Redos. That is you can undo and redo changes all the way back until the last time you saved the document.

If you do several undos and then change something, then the redo function will be reset (since there is a danger it may try to redo something that is no longer there).

Undo and Redo will work on almost all areas of your work - even moving your navigation position back to where you were working at that point - however there are some subtle variations in the way it works:

Detail and Notes Fields

Here Undo and Redo will work on all the changes that you made inside the Detail or Notes fields since you last placed your mouse inside the box (or since the last save if that was later).

Drag & Drop across Projects

Here Undo and Redo effectively creates two separate Undo and Redo events, one for each project. In effect it creates one for the drag from project A, and one for the drop into project B.  Thus to undo a Drag & Drop across two projects will require two Undo requests, one to remove the item from project B, and one to restore the item in project A.

{This functionality may change in future versions of Actio but is correct as of version 3.16}

Note: a Drag & Duplicate creates only a single Undo/Redo event.

Navigation without Changes

If you simply navigate around a project, change the views, change the filters etc but without changing any of the underlying project data, then Undo/Redo events are not created.
